Selection for A|CH Master Class at LTBA

Selection:

The selection of classical dance will take place in 2022. August 28 (Sunday), 4 p.m. Gediminas Ave. 22.

Students of all Lithuanian ballet schools over the age of 15 are invited to participate in the selection.

ONLY 10 students will be selected.

• Have a ballet outfit, pointe shoes.
• Prepare a classical variation, improvisation or free dance for selection.

About the master class:

Introducing an absolutely new opportunity for advanced students of all ballet schools who dream of having two professions in their life! The Anželika Cholina Dance Theater and the Lithuanian International Ballet Academy are creating a Master Class where students will improve their classical dance skills and will be invited to participate in a|ch theater productions.

Work plan of the master class:

Part 1 - Classical dance mastery lesson with LNOBT pedagogue-tutor Živile Baikštyte. Duration - 90 min.

Part 2 - Production work with director-choreographer Anželika Cholina. Duration - 90 - 120 min.

Class time: 

Sundays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (as of September 11)

Purpose: 

Dance in the A|CH Theater dance performance, which is planned to premiere in 2023, created especially for this class. in June, guaranteeing students one season of free stage practice.

Class size: 

up to 10 students.

Location: 

LTBA Gedimin's house (Gedimino pr. 22, Vilnius).

Price: 

For both parts of the lesson - 100 EUR.

Director-choreographer Anželika Cholina:

"The idea of the need for such a class was born from observing the current generation of young and extremely talented dancers who have been raised by private ballet and dance schools. I think that studying in this Master Class will be a great opportunity for further self-improvement for those who focus on other professions, but also for life are in love with dance. The practice of my productions in a|ch theater, where professional artists and people from other professions meet on one stage, shows that the art of dance in the hands of professionals becomes accessible to all artistic hearts."

"The preparation of a ballet school student for the stage and his transformation into a professional ballet artist takes place through careful individual work, taking into account the personal talents and specifics of the body of each student. This Master Class for me is the transfer of knowledge from many years of stage experience, formation of a soloist, methodological knowledge and improvement of ballet skills in one. ."
